The 250 Tall Ship Tour: A Conversation with the Captain and Crew of the Barque Eagle and Sea Shanties by Ethel's Mermen

About This Event

For America's 250th anniversary, the Barque Eagle, along with other tall ships from around the world, has been touring the Eastern Seaboard, from New Orleans to Charleston to NYC to Boston. Their final stop before docking back at the US Coast Guard Academy in New London is Greenport!

Join the East End Seaport Museum and the North Fork Arts Center for a lively evening of conversation, music, and storytelling on Friday, August 7, hours after the Barque Eagle docks in Greenport for the weekend. We'll hear reflections and stories about the ship and the Sail250 Tall Ship tour, including the Fourth of July sail into the New York Harbor and the historic race among the four sister ships along Cape Cod. To set the mood, Ethel's Mermen will open and close with traditional sea shanties.

This event is free to the public. A suggested donation of $30.00 is welcome.
