About This Event

Shapeshifting

A Tinworks Storytelling Show

Wednesday, July 22, 7-9pm

Tinworks Art, Asterisms installation space

$20

Half price student tickets and sponsored tickets upon request.

What did it take to make you? Join Tinworks Art, Story Wrangler Bex Frucht and community tellers for a personal story journey through fluid identity – performed, preserved, perceived, preordained. Inspired by the flexible figures at the center of Chisel & Razor, local storytellers will share true-life tales of selfhood in flux – the moments that molded and emboldened us, in private and in public. The masks we wear and the ones we drop. The names we're given and the ones we choose. Alter egos, personas, pseudonyms – rejected, reclaimed, reimagined.

Space for these performances is limited. Tickets will go on sale one month before the performance. Committed persons wanting a student ticket discount ticket please email angela.yonke@tinworksart.org.

Event Schedule

6:30pm - Doors open.

6:55pm - Tickets will be sold to waiting list participants present from ticket holders who have not arrived and thereby have forfeited their tickets.

7:00pm - Performance begins.

9:30pm - Event concludes.

Many people are interested in this event and space is limited! We ask that you purchase tickets if you are committed to attending. If you are unable to attend your workshop please contact us within 48 hours of the event to ensure we are able to pass your ticket to someone on the waiting list in a timely manner. Tinworks understands that unforeseen circumstances may arise, but we ask that you contact us as soon as possible.

If registration fills, a "Waiting List" option will become available and you can select this to be added to a queue. We will contact these individuals as spots become available. We also recommend those on the waiting list come the night of the event to be sold available tickets the most quickly.

We recommend arriving with plenty of time to park and get settled. Parking can be found in the Tinworks Art parking lot or surrounding streets. The free Bozeman Streamline bus route also has several stops in the area.

For all questions, or requests for sponsored (free) tickets, contact angela.yonke@tinworksart.org. Committed attendance requests only please.

Bex Frucht, Head Story Wrangler, Vibe Steward and Founder of Tumbleweed Queen Creative

Bex's eclectic personal and professional journey has taken her from the red carpet to the Rocky Mountains. Bex first overshared onstage at The Moth Story Slams in LA while anchoring a TV and web series -- she now helms her own wild storytelling showcase “TMI Live!” at Last Best Comedy and Empire Theatre along with curating/hosting community shows for Tinworks Art, Bridgercare, Elk River Arts & Lectures, Park County Environmental Council and other local partners. As a Story Wrangler, Bex shares her passion for personal narrative by producing live events, teaching workshops, coaching individuals, and guiding organizations. As a Vibe Steward, Bex brings her signature emcee energy to fundraisers and functions. She's lucky to call the funky river town of Livingston, MT, home where she floats the Yellowstone with her “Mantana” Kyle Joe, chases their muppet dog Zucca, rides her horse Beaver, and spoons their kitties Aldo & Waldo. Follow @bexstorywrangler on Instagram to join her story posse!
