2026 iCan! Surf

iCan! Surf is designed to teach the fundamentals of surfing to people with Down syndrome. 

All ages and swimming levels are encouraged to attend!

Time:  9 am to 11 am
Location:  4516 S. Atlantic Avenue, New Smyrna Beach

$100 for all iCan! Surf 2026 Programs (eight months) or $20 for for one months registration - Thanks to the generosity and support of Surfing’s Evolution & Preservation Foundation (SEPF) 2026 Grant.

Please note - All County-owned and operated off-beach parking lots require a $20 daily parking fee (if you do not have a disabled license plate or placard). The daily parking fee can be paid by following the directions on the signage in the parking lot.

Volusia County strongly encourages anyone with a disabled license plate or placard to register their vehicles at www.parkvolusia.org so there is no confusion about whether a citation will be issued by the camera.  Again, it’s not required but it guarantees no citation would be issued in error with the camera not seeing a placard in the windshield.

Volusia County residents can park for free if they register their vehicles online at parkvolusia.org or in-person at one of two ParkVolusia offices.

Nonresidents may purchase an annual off-beach parking pass for $100 online at parkvolusia.org or in-person at a ParkVolusia office. This pass allows nonresidents unlimited parking in County-owned and operated lots for 365 days from the date of purchase.

At iCan! Surf parents will participate with members - working alongside instructors during the program and in the water. Come beach ready and ready to have fun!

Scholarships are available for financial assistance. Families are welcome to come out and see surfing firsthand before registering - just let us know and join us for a morning at the beach!

Please note - no refunds for cancellations. In case of inclement weather, iCan! Surf will be rescheduled for a later date in 2026.
