The Stock Market Challenge was created for Junior Achievement because it fit well with JA’s mission to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business and economics to improve the quality of their lives. This event is about mixing and mingling with top business professionals and enjoying this fast paced, unique, first-class event.
Two months of stock trading are condensed into one exciting evening. Teams buy and sell mock stock in fictitious companies and compete to create the highest net worth! Whether you come to party or to play, you are guaranteed a high return! The game is simple. Local organizations purchase teams of 4 people. The teams are given an account with $1,000,000 of ‘money’ to compete against each other by trading in a simulated Stock Market environment. A 60-day trading period is compressed into 60 minutes—this means a new day begins every 60 seconds. This fast paced atmosphere ensures the trading is urgent, and the competition is tense! To break up the action, food and beverage is provided. There’s nothing like this exciting event in town!
