This year, we celebrate a milestone — 25 years of inspiring bold, youth-led change through Team Kids.
It began with a big idea, a little blue bus, and one simple question that lit a spark: What if children had the power to transform our communities and our world? Twenty-five years later, that dream has traveled far — winding through neighborhoods, rolling into schools, and igniting movements of kindness and courage in communities across the country.
Driven to Make a Difference is a one-of-a-kind evening of inspirational speakers, networking, food & drinks, and more as we officially launch Team Kids’ 25th year of service at the stunning Rivian South Coast Theater in Laguna Beach.

Surrounded by community champions — from business leaders and educators to public safety allies and lifelong supporters — we’ll reflect on where we’ve been, celebrate the young changemakers who’ve led the way, and unveil a bold vision for the future, all in an evening of laughter, connection, and renewed belief in the power of youth.

- A one-of-a-kind, unforgettable keynote who will make you laugh, cry, and believe in the good again
- Inspiring youth and alumni voices
- The shaping of Team Kids’ bold strategic vision for growth and national expansion

- Special multimedia storytelling on Rivian’s full-size movie screen
About Team Kids
Team Kids is a national nonprofit that empowers children to become leaders and changemakers in their communities. Founded in 2001, Team Kids has engaged nearly 500,000 K-8 students through innovative programs that build leadership, empathy, and civic responsibility.
Our flagship initiative, the Team Kids Challenge, is a 6-week program delivered in partnership with schools, police, firefighters, businesses, and community leaders. Students lead real-world service projects addressing critical issues like hunger, homelessness, and environmental sustainability.
Backed by peer-reviewed research, our curriculum develops 21st-century skills—critical thinking, communication, resilience, and global awareness—while promoting mental health, well-being, and social-emotional growth. We challenge the belief that kids are “too young” to make a difference and instead show them they are essential leaders of today and tomorrow.
Through hands-on learning and powerful partnerships, Team Kids is redefining what’s possible when youth are seen, heard, and empowered to lead lasting change in their schools and communities.
