About the Bands & Emcee

Drive Time Band
The Band — Drive Time Bluegrass Band

Sounds of Authentic NC Bluegrass

Drive Time is an innovative bluegrass band based out of Roxboro, NC. The band is known for their hard driving sounds and sweet, high harmonies. With veteran sidemen (and women) who have toured nationally with the likes of Sideline, Nu-Blu and Sweet Potato Pie, and regionally with several other veterans, these six friends have ventured out on their own to bring you the bluegrass music that has inspired them. Influenced by IIIrd Tyme Out, Mountain Heart, The Lonesome River Band, Boone Creek, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver and countless others, they create their own refreshing sound.

Scott Family Band

Scott Family Band is a multigenerational family group made up of six members. The band is led by Jerry Scott, the family’s patriarch. His three daughters—Cassie Denison, Carla Springer, and Sandy Whitley—represent the next generation. The third generation is carried by granddaughters Katie Koerner and Molly Russell.

They share a genuine love for music—singing, picking, and playing simply because it brings them joy. They also have a heart for supporting meaningful causes, and CRCI is one that remains especially close to them.
