Benjamin's HLH Story

At just 12 years old, Ben's life changed when he began suffering from severe headaches, dizziness, and loss of balance. Scans revealed multiple lesions in his brain. Steroids offered brief relief, but the symptoms returned, stronger and scarier than before.

For 16 long months doctors searched for answers as Ben endured worsening symptoms, countless tests, and a brain biopsy-all in a desperate effort to understand what was happening.

Finally, in October of 2020, genetic testing revealed a rare and life-threatening diagnosis: Primary CNS Isolated HLH.

In February 2021, Ben underwent a life-saving bone marrow transplant.

In February 2026, Ben celebrated five years post-bone marrow transplant, a milestone that once felt impossible, and now stands as a testament to Ben's resilience and his faith.
