Registration has ended

About This Event

The Greenville County Schools’ Foundation’s primary mission is to support our students by providing educational scholarships, to encourage students to join the teaching profession, and to support our teaching and non-teaching staff by providing funding for advanced degrees, additional certifications, and professional development.

Each year, the Foundation hosts a Hall of Fame Gala to welcome the newest class of inductees into the Greenville County Schools Hall of Fame and to raise money to support the Foundation’s mission. This year’s GCS Hall of Fame class features six such individuals:

Graduates:

Kahran Bethencourt - Photographer

Johnny Mack Brown - Law Enforcement

Daniel Miyares - Author and Illustrator

Dr. Bethany Smith - Scientist

Dr. Virginia Short Uldrick - Awarded Posthumously - Teacher and Administrator

Educator:

Dr. Katherine Howard - Teacher and Administrator

To read about each of the inductees, visit the Greenville County Schools Foundation.

The 2024 Hall of Fame Gala, featuring an induction ceremony and dinner, will take place at the Greenville Convention Center at 5:30 p.m. on November 21, 2024. The GCS Hall of Fame is an opportunity to showcase individuals who were nurtured and developed in our community and went on to excel in academia and education, arts, athletics, business, media, medicine, military, philanthropy, public service, or science and to support the future of public education. We hope you will join us as we celebrate these Greenville success stories.  All proceeds from the event will be used to support its mission.
