3rd Annual Construction Suicide Prevention Cornhole Tournament

Breaking the Silence New Mexico is hosting our 3rd Annual Construction Suicide Prevention Cornhole Tournament on September 12th, 2026. Check in @ 1:30pm, bags fly @ 3pm. At the International Indoor Soccer Arena, 1311 Cuesta Arriba Ct NE

This event will feature some local resources, food trucks, raffle prizes, silent auction, air mail, and more.

As a donor, you will help empower the lives of New Mexicans who are facing mental health challenges or are thinking of suicide.  Your sponsorship directly supports our research-based programs that promote mental health in schools and communities across New Mexico. 

For each $3,000 raised we are able to provide 24 sessions of two “Talking Mental Health” lessons.  $2,500 sponsors 3 half-days of professional development for 25-50 staff each.

There is no single cause for suicide. Often, stressors and health issues come together to create feelings of hopelessness and despair.  

In 2022, Individuals in construction and extraction occupations were 15 times as likely to die of drug-overdose, an alcohol-induced cause, or suicide as those in education, training, and library occupations. - NM Dept. of Health.
