will celebrate its 50th anniversary!
In 1973 Sylvia Scheinfeld founded a conference center in Woodstock, Illinois to provide research and education during the movement against “redlining” in Chicago. Today, Woodstock Institute has evolved to become nationally renowned through its research and policy achievements toward economic justice and racial equity.
Thanks to supporters like you, we have much to celebrate, and we look forward to the challenges and opportunities of the next 50 years. There are several ways to participate in this exciting historic celebration by clicking on the button above:

Event Chairpersons
Jacqueline Collins, Former Illinois State Senator and champion of the Predatory Loan Prevention Act and the Illinois Community Reinvestment Act, as well as winner of Woodstock’s Scheinfeld Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2021.
Domenika Lynch, Executive Director, Aspen Institute Latinos and Society Program, member of the US Small Business Administration Council for Underserved Communities, and new member of Woodstock’s Board of Directors.
Keynote Speaker
Michael J. Hsu, Acting Comptroller of the Currency, the administrator of the federal banking system and chief executive officer of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The OCC ensures that the federal banking system operates in a safe and sound manner, provides fair access to financial services, treats customers fairly, and complies with applicable laws and regulations.
Mr. Hsu also serves as a Director of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and a member of the Financial Stability Oversight Council and the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council.
