Join the Geena Davis Institute for an exclusive event unveiling our latest report on Asian and Pacific Islander (API) representation in film. Building upon our 2021 study, I Am Not a Fetish or Model Minority: Redefining What it Means to Be API in the Entertainment Industry, this new research examines API inclusion and portrayal in mainstream films from 2010 through 2024.
In partnership with IW Group and CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment), this study continues our mission to track API representation trends and assess whether progress has been made in the film industry. Our analysis covers the ten most popular films from each year, as well as major studio and streaming platform releases featuring API actors.
