Hi, I’m Joanna and I have been the Treasurer for Victoria's Victory Foundation for the past two years. As an able-bodied person, I was oblivious to the struggles many people faced daily prior to my introduction to VVF. My understanding of those struggles deepened in March when I was diagnosed with MOGAD and bilateral optic neuritis. Although the disease only impacted my eyesight, MOGAD can cause inflammation and swelling in the optic nerve, brain, and spinal cord. I just as suddenly could have become paralyzed, like many of our Victory Scholarship recipients. The VVF mission speaks to me on a personal level these days; it’s incredibly impactful to see the recipient victories as they overcome challenges, knowing just how hard that climb can be. I would love it if you joined me in supporting those victories by donating today!

Seven years ago when VVF opened their doors 48% of their recipients were not injured or diagnosed at that time.

Did you know that a new spinal cord injury occurs every 48 minutes in the US?

The need is growing every day.

Help VVF prepare for the next 7 years and beyond.
