About This Event

Mindfulness for People with Parkinson’s and Their Care Partners, taught by Dr. Barbara Pickut, Movement Disorder Specialist at Michigan State University.

This free 8-week course, from September 9 - October 28, meets on Tuesdays (via Zoom) from 9:30–11:00 AM. It offers a structured introduction to mindfulness practices tailored to support individuals living with Parkinson’s and their care partners. Through guided meditation, breathwork, gentle movement, and mindful awareness exercises, participants will cultivate skills to enhance well-being, reduce stress, and improve quality of life. Each session will provide practical tools for navigating symptoms, fostering resilience, and building a sense of community. No prior experience with mindfulness is necessary—just a willingness to explore and engage in the present moment.
