Your support will help our programs to continue to be competitive at the highest levels!

Why You Should Support FAMU Athletics

FAMU Athletics operates as an auxiliary enterprise for the university, relying on private donations, ticket sales, student fees and conference revenues to fund 16 NCAA Division I varsity sports. As the athletic costs increase, your support is critical. In addition to funding annual scholarships (including tuition, fees, room and board), donations provide critical support for general operating costs, maintenance of facilities and provides support for individual sports program.

    About

The FAMU Young Alumni Reunion: Battle of the Freshman Classes is a premium Homecoming experience that will bring together the members of FAMU Freshman Classes of 1995 through 2010 for a set of special events that are aimed specifically toward young alumni. Do you remember the first time you stepped onto the “Hill.” Do you remember the people you met in Sampson, Young, Paddyfoote, Gibbs, McQuinn, Diamond, Truth, Wheatly or Cropper during your freshman year? Do you remember the first time you stepped foot on the “SET”? Come relive the memories with the Premiere Young Alumni event of Homecoming 2015.

The registrations for this year’s inaugural reunion is $100 and includes a welcome reception featuring Dr. Elmira Mangum, special recognition and seating at the Homecoming Convocation, the Inaugural Young Alumni Tailgate,  a Freshman Class T-shirt, a commemorative gift, and a university donation of $35. We will recognize the FAMU Freshman Class with the most participants and the FAMU Freshman Class that raises the most money. The winners will be named the “Best FAMU Freshman Class Ever” that comes with full bragging rights for one year. Some Freshman Classes will be celebrating special milestones since they left FAMU. It’s time for all of our Young Alums to come back and give back to FAMU. Who was the best class to ever enter FAMU? 1998?  2003? 1996? 2005? Let the Battle Begin!

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to John Michael Lee, Jr., Assistant Vice President for Alumni Affairs and Advancement (John.Lee@famu.edu) or Brandon Hill, Coordinator for Alumni Engagement and Membership (Brandon.Hill@famu.edu). We can also be reached at 850-599-3707.
