IMRC Dinner Event in Chicago

Registration ends Wednesday, 09/02/2026 8:59pm CDT

About This Event

Assalamu Alaikum,

Join IMRC for dinner and an information session on Why Indian youth are restless? Rise of Gen Z & Impact on Muslims, and Minorities on Thursday, September 3rd, 2026 from 6:30pm to 10:00pm.

Overview:

India's Muslim community continues to experience socio-economic disadvantage, inadequate representation in public institutions, concerns for personal safety, and discrimination reinforced by legislation including the Citizenship Amendment Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Addressing these conditions requires a coordinated commitment to equality and inclusion — broadening educational and economic opportunity, and building interfaith dialogue that supports a more resilient and representative democracy.

Join IMRC with its guest speakers Professor Amirullah Khan and Arfa Khanum.

PROF. AMIR ULLAH KHAN

  • Eminent economist and Member of the Post Sachar Evaluation Commission, Govt of India.
  • Former Advisor at the Gates Foundation.

Arfa Khanum

  • Award Winning Journalist, Senior Editor, The Wire, India

We look forward to seeing you there.
