PYM Annual Sessions 2025

Welcome to Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Annual Sessions 2025: Memembers One of Another  

Gathering as a community is part of our shared commitment to each other and our faith. 

This year, Annual Sessions will return to a five-day Sessions format. Friends can expect keynote speakers, opportunities for fellowship, learning, worship, and thoughtful attention to the work of the yearly meeting. 

This summer, Annual Sessions will take place at Cheyney University and on Zoom. We are grateful to be partnering with Cheyney – The first Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Cheyney University was founded in part with a grant from a Quaker family. This partnership is an opportunity to nourish meaningful relationships. Friends are invited to join as a community – either in person or online – based on what works best for you. 

Structure of the Week 

Wednesday and Thursday of Annual Sessions are online-only, using Zoom. All registered participants will recieve the link.   

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be hybrid. Friends are welcome to attend onsite at Cheyney University or take part online through Zoom

About Registration Costs:   

For the past 5 years, Annual Sessions registration fees have been significantly reduced from their pre-Covid levels. We were able to subsidize the cost for participants through a unique combination of partnership with FGC in 2024, and funds carrying over from our years meeting entirely online. This year, we are returning out of necessity to our pre-Covid pricing model. Please connect with PYM staff  if you are in need of financial assistance! It is always our intention to make Sessions possible for all Friends.   

• $120 Adult Program fee: Join online or at Cheyney University for programming! 

• Free Onsite Children and Youth (Infants to Grade 12) 

• $65 Weekend Meal Package: Friday-Sunday at Cheyney University dining hall 

• $25 Daily meal package: For those attending only one or two days  

• Dorm housing is available: $100-$335.  

• Hotel Accommodations at Best Western: $167-$374.  

 Financial Assistance and Volunteering

• Friends over age 65 are eligible for support from the Aging Assistance Grant. We encourage Friends who need financial assistance to fill out the form on our website.  

• Volunteer positions are available for Friends who are coming to campus! Sharing your energy as a volunteer covers the cost of your program fee.

About Annual Sessions Registration  

All Friends who register will receive the Zoom link to participate in online events. If you are intending to participate onsite during the weekend, please join online Wednesday and Thursday!   

If you do plan to participate online-only and will not be joining us at Cheyney, you may skip all sections related to housing and meal options.
