Fall Continuing Sessions 2026
All Friends everywhere are invited to join Fall Continuing Sessions at Arch Street Meeting House. Continuing Sessions are our one-day events on the second Saturday of November and March, where we attend to the continuing business of the Yearly Meeting and enjoy fellowship across generations.
In 2026, Fall Sessions take place on Saturday, November 14, with both in-person and online options.

About Fall Continuing Sessions Youth Programming
All youth and families are invited to attend Fall Continuing Sessions! There will be programming for each age group – Children, Middle School, and High School – available during both the morning and the afternoon sessions. This programming will include a visit to the playground for our littlest Friends, community-building activities for Middle School Friends, and time for the Young Friends to learn more about Quakerism and to plan upcoming projects and events…and more!
About our Featured Program: 339 Manumissions and Beyond Project
The 339 Manumissions and Beyond Project is led by Dennis Gregg and focuses on researching and documenting the lives and family histories of people who were enslaved by Quakers and later manumitted, with a particular emphasis on individuals connected to Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. This presentation will explore:
- The history of enslavement and manumission within Quaker communities.
- The ongoing work of restoring family histories of people who were enslaved by Quakers.
- How archival research, family records, and meeting records contribute to recovering these stories.
- Reflections on the legacy of slavery, racism, and Quaker witness.
Opportunities for Friends and meetings to contribute records, research, and support to the project.
