Join Emmett’s Workshop at United Ability and Accessing Potential Through Assistive Technology (APT AT) for our 3rd Annual Toy Takeover—a hands-on morning of making, adapting, and discovering creative ways to make play more accessible!

Participants will participate in maker stations where they will learn simple techniques for adapting commercially available toys and games for individuals with disabilities.

Adaptations Planned:

• Adapt a spinning art toy for switch access
• Build your own accessibility switch
• Adapt a fun game to make play more accessible

Best of all, each registered participant will leave with one adapted toy and one accessibility switch to take home!

No previous experience with electronics, soldering, or toy adaptation is needed. Our Emmett’s Workshop team will guide you through each step. We will provide the tools, materials, and support you need to be successful.  

Please note: This is a hands-on maker event that includes soldering and the use of tools. For safety, this event is for adults only; please do not bring children.
