About This Event
The word justice is at the heart of God's kingdom, but it can also be a lightning rod in the Christian community. What does the Bible really say about God's restorative justice? And what if Jesus was serious about justice?
Join us as we talk with Skye Jethani, author of What if Jesus was Serious About Justice?, and explore
● Jesus's definition of and teachings on justice
● our relationship with God and with others
● how God's wrath and forgiveness are rooted in love
● the cross of Jesus as the moment of the world's greatest injustice
Find new ways to bridge the divide in the church over the importance of personal salvation and communal justice through Skye's biblical insights. The book and our conversation with Skye will challenge and provide good discussion for every church community.
---------------------
"For far too long, many Christians have compartmentalized faith in a way that distorts the comprehensive gospel Jesus taught. This is especially true regarding matters of justice. Skye Jethani offers robust theological insights in bite-sized servings, giving us just enough to chew on--and plenty to be changed by. If you're looking for an introduction to a Christian understanding of justice, start here."
--Rich Villodas, lead pastor, New Life Fellowship; author of The Narrow Path
