Participants will be introduced to mobile design principles, will learn the steps in creating a mobile, and will take home a completed mobile by the end of the workshop. For this workshop, mobile-making materials are painted metal, wire, and sea glass/rocks. Participants will learn about mobile design options and the basic skills in making a mobile, including wire bending, metal cutting, and balancing techniques. Participants will have the option of bringing a design or sketch of a mobile to the workshop and will work with the artist to translate their vision into a viable mobile. All the materials and tools are provided.
