Kate Harmon
Senior Community Fundraising Specialist, Michael J. Fox Foundation

Kate Harmon is a Senior Community Fundraising Specialist at The Michael J. Fox Foundation and supports DIY events across the East Coast. While she's only been at the Foundation for a year and a half, Kate has been a Team Fox fundraiser for over 18 years. Her father, Bob, passed last year after living with Parkinson's. She promised him she wouldn't stop until there's a cure. In a previous career, Kate was both a newspaper reporter and editor, and did marketing and events for many York City nonprofits - including the three years she ran Give Local York, York's biggest day of online fundraising. When she's not doing all the things, she's either watching crime shows or helping run other restaurant or beer and wine events in the county.

Cindy Minnich
Special Events & Communications Coordinator, The Salvation Army Harrisburg

Cindy Minnich began her career with The Salvation Army Harrisburg in 2012 as a Development Assistant and advanced to the role of Special Events and Communication Coordinator in 2015. In this capacity, she oversees the organization’s annual fundraising initiatives, including the Spring Celebration event and Shoe Strut, the area’s largest fundraising networking luncheon. Cindy also coordinates WIN (Women INvolved), a networking and service group dedicated to supporting the mission of The Salvation Army Harrisburg. Outside of her professional role, she serves as a consultant and social media manager for her husband Scott’s marriage counseling practice, The Marriage Mechanic. Cindy and Scott raised three children and now enjoy empty-nest life in Mechanicsburg, where they share their home with two Maine Coon cats.
