Imagine Moving from Homelessness to Hopefulness . . .
Living unsheltered negatively impacts a person’s mental and physical health. Many individuals may feel unworthy. But when they are supported, their esteem begins to build. When they learn they have the means necessary to move into a new home, smiles abound. And on the day that they receive a key to their new home, the joy is contagious.
Your support helps Shelter of Flint move families from homelessness to hopefulness.
Our 78-bed emergency shelter is usually filled to capacity and over half of our residents are children.
Moving unsheltered families into emergency shelter and then to homes of their own is what Shelter of Flint does best. And then, when families find a home, our staff works to make sure they have the support they need so they can successfully stay in their new home.
