Creative Momentum: Get Back In the Game with Michael Webster

About This Event

How to get back into making art, and keeping it going! Have you ever struggled to find the time, resources, or energy to create your artwork? Has a regular studio practice eluded you since graduating?

"After completing my MFA program I didn't make artwork for 4 years, but I eventually regained my creative momentum, and now I teach my college students the strategies for keeping the creative fire burning. I'll cover how to make art with limited resources, restart your practice after a long break, and maintain momentum once you get going. " -Michael Webster

This workshop is open to adults of any experience level, ages 16+.

About the Artist:

Michael Webster responds to the social organization of space through site-specific projects, sculpture, and lens-based media. He has attended residencies at ChaNorth, Hambidge Center, Elsewhere Living Museum, and Penland School of Craft. He was the runner- up for the 2023 SouthArts Southern Prize and was selected as the South Carolina State Fellow.
