We Remember Andrew Joseph III: Ten Year Candlelight Vigil

Registration has ended

About This Event

Join us as we come together to honor the memory of Andrew Joseph III, a beloved son, friend, and member of our community, on the tenth anniversary of his passing. This candlelight vigil serves as a solemn yet uplifting occasion to reflect on the impact Andrew had on our lives and to stand united in support of his family.

We will open with prayer by Pastor Norman Harris as we remember our son, Andrew Joseph III. At only the age of 14, we thought February 7, 2014 was going to be a fun-filled day of memories that would last a lifetime. Instead, it turned into a lifetime of turmoil when our son never came home after a law enforcement encounter at the Fairgrounds. We mourn our son on the 10 year anniversary of his death but we also celebrate the life changing conversations we have had with stakeholders, parents and guardians, educators, children, and child advocates. In our son's name we have impacted safety for children everywhere. Your generous support provides us an opportunity to do the transformative work we do.

When our family had our loss, there was not a place we could call. There was not a support group to connect with. We had to navigate the entire situation alone and now we exist to ensure no other family has to do that. We go around the country providing this material support to impacted families.

If you are a singer or performer and want to provide your talents for this vigil, please contact us at andrewsoarsmission@gmail.com and we can connect.
