Boos (Booze), Brews, & Birds 2025

Step into a spook‑tacular night at AWC for Boos (Booze), Brews, and Birds – sponsored by Cahaba Brewing and Tito's Vodka! Roam our campus to meet glove‑trained raptors (if you’re lucky, even a vulture or two 👀), sip seasonal brews or a Halloween cocktail in our festively decked‑out courtyard, and trick‑or‑treat your way through candy stations scattered across AWC. Expect hauntingly good photo ops, a costume parade, classic Halloween hits, and plenty of treats—no tricks.

Tickets

• Member General Admission: $25 — includes entry, 3 drink tickets, and access to all candy stations with candy bag

• Non‑Member General Admission: $35 — includes entry, 3 drink tickets, and access to all candy stations with candy bag

• Youth (21 and under): $15 — entry + soda ticket & access to all candy stations with candy bag (no alcohol)

Optional Add‑Ons: Extra drink tickets $7 each.

• Meet‑and‑greet stations with glove‑trained raptors and AWC educators

• Halloween music and themed courtyard with spooky décor and photo spots

• Candy stations throughout campus (bring your tote or use ours!)

Schedule (Draft)

• 4:00 p.m. Doors open; candy stations & bars open; campus roaming begins

• 5:30 p.m. Costume parade & contest on the courtyard stage

• 6:45 p.m. Last call at bars

• 7:00 p.m. Event concludes; campus closes

Food & Beverage

• Brews & Booze: Each adult ticket includes 3 drink tickets (beer, wine, or themed cocktail). Non‑alcoholic options available. Additional drink tickets available for purchase for $7.

• ID Required: 21+ wristbanding at check‑in for alcohol purchases. No outside alcohol permitted.

• Vendors: Food trucks will be present with food available for purchase.

Costumes & Safety Guidelines

• Costumes welcome! Keep them bird‑safe: no balloons, whistles/air horns, laser pointers, or dangling streamers/props around birds.

• Masks: Allowed outdoors; please remove if asked by staff for identification or safety.

• Props: No realistic weapon replicas. Lightweight foam/props only.

• Please do not touch birds or enclosures. Follow handler instructions at all times.

Accessibility & Sensory‑Friendly Notes

• AWC campus includes paved paths and gentle grades; some areas are natural surface. Accessible restrooms available.

• Quiet/Sensory‑Friendly Window (6:00–6:30 p.m.): Lower music volume and reduced effects.

Parking, Entry, & Check‑In

• Follow event signage to AWC parking. Overflow parking available within Oak Mountain State Park.

• State park gate fees may apply and are not included in your ticket.

• Bring your photo ID for 21+ wristbanding.

Rain or Shine

• This event is rain or shine. In case of severe weather, portions of the event may move indoors or be modified for bird safety.

Refunds & Transfers

• Tickets are non‑refundable but are transferable. If you can’t attend, you may send someone in your place.

FAQs

Is this family‑friendly? Yes. Children are welcome with supervising adults. Candy stations are plentiful, and alcohol is served only to 21+ with wristbands.
Can I bring outside food/drinks? No outside alcohol; sealed water bottles are allowed.
Are pets allowed? For the safety of our birds, no pets. Trained service animals are permitted in accordance with ADA guidelines; some areas may be restricted during active bird programs.
What should I wear? Costumes encouraged! Comfortable, closed‑toe shoes recommended for walking outdoors.
Will there be strobe lights? Minimal lighting effects; we avoid strobes due to wildlife.
