About This Event
How many Alliance supporters does it take to change 378 light bulbs?
That's the question we're asking this year at MPLS Homes 2026, because we know change is inevitable in this world. Each of our 378 homes across Minneapolis changes the lives of those who live there. What that change looks like varies from resident to resident.
Emily's home is a warm, safe space to live with her family while she finishes her education and grows her income.
Efrain's home was initially a 1-bedroom place to start rebuilding his life after exiting incarceration. Then it became a 2-bedroom so he would have a place to live with his son after getting custody.
Tyrone's home is the first home of his own in his late 50s after decades of homelessness.
In addition to the lives of our residents, Alliance itself is constantly changing. That may be anything from staff changes to the move from a scattered site model to larger apartment buildings to a new logo.
Please join us at MPLS Homes 2026 to hear some of these stories of change. We’ll hear from Executive Director Jessie Hendel about the future of Alliance, bear witness to a resident’s story via video, hear a panel of residents discuss what home means for them, and connect with a community coming together to ensure our Minneapolis neighbors have the home they need.
Proceeds from this, Alliance’s most important fundraiser of the year, allow us to continue to work to build and maintain affordable housing in Minneapolis while also impacting the policies and systems that allow homelessness and housing insecurity to exist. We are honored to do this work and invite you to join us.
