Amanda J. Pickard passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2023, and her family created this fund in memory of her.
Amanda, who held a PhD in chemistry and worked as a research scientist, was a close friend, a colleague, and a vital part of our spinal CSF leak community.
Amanda was passionate about research and advocacy, both as a scientist and a patient. After experiencing a spinal CSF leak, she turned that passion into action, working tirelessly as a board member of the Spinal CSF Leak Foundation to further research into this debilitating disorder and help raise awareness about it among physicians and laypeople alike.
This fund, created at the request of Amanda’s family, is a way to honor her legacy. Your contribution will help support research that furthers the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of spinal CSF leak, as well as helping to continue the educational and awareness efforts that meant so much to her in work with the Foundation.
Thank you for honoring Amanda’s life and work, and for helping us to advance the mission she cared so much about: Reducing the suffering of all those affected by intracranial hypotension or spinal cerebrospinal fluid leak.
