With Kate Wieland, UF/IFAS Human Resources Department
Kate Wieland is the Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist with the University of Florida Institute for Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Human Resources team. She has been involved with UF since January of 2022. In her current role, she is responsible for coordinating staff recruitments within UF/IFAS that include sourcing and screening candidates. She works alongside hiring managers to develop and execute recruitment strategies and proactively identifies talent to support those needs. Kate is also enhancing and creating the onboarding toolkit for new hire employees within IFAS. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University in Communications & History.
Prior to joining UF/IFAS she worked within the UF Advancement (UFA), Talent Management team as a Talent Acquisition Recruiter. Previously to UFA, she has a weatlh of experience that includes working in nonprofits and private sector organizations that have afforded her experience including, recruiting, onboarding, fundraising, business development and human resources experience.
She has a passion for helping others succeed and finding the right opportunities for her talent pool while helping her hiring managers succeed with their needs.
