About the play:
The Herdmans are famous for being the worst kids in town. They steal candy, pull pranks, break rules, and generally make everyone else’s Halloween miserable. After a particularly chaotic Halloween, the mayor cancels trick-or-treating altogether and replaces it with a school-sponsored Halloween party.
Most of the town blames the Herdmans. In fact, many children are secretly excited when they hear the Herdmans are not planning to attend the party. But as Halloween approaches, strange clues begin to appear.
When Halloween night finally arrives, the school party becomes an unforgettable adventure full of surprises, misunderstandings, and revelations. By the end, the children discover that Halloween is not just about candy or costumes. It is about belonging, community, and recognizing the humanity in people who are often left on the outside looking in.
