About This Event

This 8-session program, APDA Parkinson Roadmap for Education and Support Services™ (PRESS), provides an opportunity for people with Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and one partner or another family member to meet with others facing a similar experience and share coping strategies regarding day-to-day issues related to living with Parkinson’s. For many people with PD, the program is a gateway into PD education, support services, and advocacy available in your community. PRESS is a place to share feelings in a safe, caring environment and gather to share information and resources. This program is facilitated by a licensed social worker, and includes guest speakers. 

Program happens from 1:30 - 3:30 pm at Yale New Haven health Guilford, 753 Boston Post road. Guilford, CT

  • Medication Management- Thursday April 30
  • Importance of Exercise- Thursday May 7
  • Dealing with Physical Symptoms- Thursday May 14
  • Impact on Daily Coping and Relationships- Thursday May 21
  • Tips for Daily Living - Thursday May 28
  • Caring for Others, Caring for Yourself - Thursday June 4
  • Building Your Healthcare Team - Thursday June 11
