About the Program
Up ENDing Parkinson's offers people with Parkinson's and their care partners a unique opportunity to stay active, build confidence, and experience a new form of independence through indoor rock climbing. Hosted at the St. Cloud Area Family YMCA, the program provides a safe, supportive environment where participants can challenge themselves at their own pace while benefiting from the guidance of trained YMCA staff.
Using the YMCA's climbing wall, participants will be assisted with belaying and climbing based on their individual abilities and comfort levels. The program is designed to be inclusive of people at all stages of Parkinson's and encourages both physical activity and social connection. Care partners are welcomed as active participants, helping to foster a supportive community built on shared experiences, encouragement, and fun.
