Join CATA for an intimate reading celebrating writers with disabilities at The Mount in Lenox!
You'll hear heartfelt, thought-provoking, poignant and humorous work by CATA writers with disabilities—read by a wonderful cast of guest readers. Through poetry, short stories, and more, CATA writers with disabilities express their unique perspectives and reveal common experiences that connect us all. Join us after the reading for a reception with the writers!
WHEN: Tuesday, September 29 • 5–7pm
Reading from 5-6pm, followed by reception from 6-7pm
WHERE: The Stable at The Mount, Edit Wharton's Home, 2 Plunkett St, Lenox, MA (map)
TICKETS: Tickets are $25 and space is limited. (EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare card holders receive a 50% discount. Use code EBT, WIC, or ConnectorCare at check-out).
Accessibility:
- The performance space and restrooms in the Stable are wheelchair accessible.
- Free parking is available a short distance from the stable (down a loose gravel path).
- Two additional accessible parking spots are available directly outside the Stable entrance.
- Visitors are also welcome to drive up to the Stable entrance for easy drop-off.
- ASL interpretation will be provided during the reading.
- Provided during the event: ASL interpretation, open captioning, braille and large print programs, sensory tools (including headphones and fidgets)
Visit our Accessibility Resource Table at check-in for assistance with seating, accessible programs and sensory tools, and other accommodations.
Directions & Parking:
- Turn onto the gravel driveway at the entrance of The Mount and follow it to a large parking lot with accessible spots.
- The Stable is a short distance from the parking lot (look for yellow CATA signs and friendly staff!)
