2025_05_10: Family-Friendly Birding Walk at Mother Earth Market

About This Event

Saturday, May 10,  9am- 10am

Join Brushwood Center for a pre-market, bilingual bird walk at Ryerson Woods led by our Senior Program Director, Dani Abboud and Youth Education Coordinator, Eddie Flores. The Mother Earth Market coincides with World Migratory Bird Day, a special day dedicated to celebrating and protecting our avian friends. Families of all ages are welcome to join us to learn the ins and outs of birding, like how to use binoculars, identify local species, and conduct a bird count. Together, we will explore the special creatures that live alongside us at Brushwood, and learn ways we can all contribute to community science and conservation!

Binoculars will be provided.  The walk will be across a 1.5 mile loop in the preserve over a mostly flat trail that is unpaved.
