Beyond the Studio: Artist Statements (Technical Writing)

It’s hard to write an artist statement that’s easy to read.

This workshop is designed to help artists write compelling and concise artist statements for grant and residency applications. Distilling the essence of one's work into a three paragraph statement can be challenging, but this workshop will provide guidance on how to effectively communicate the direction and principles behind the art. Participants will learn how to craft a clear and convincing narrative, using language that will captivate the audience's attention.
