Louisville Visual Art invites you to participate in our 13th Annual art[squared] Auction

Louisville Visual Art invites you to take part in the 13th Annual art[squared] Online Auction—an exciting opportunity to showcase your creativity while supporting LVA’s impactful programs.

Contribute an original 8" x 8" artwork and help sustain initiatives that bring art to our community, including Children’s Fine Art Classes, Curate Purchase Inspire, Open Studio Weekend, and the Artist Talk with LVA radio show.

We are deeply grateful to the talented artists who make art[squared] such a vibrant and successful event year after year—this exhibition wouldn’t be possible without you.

All participating artists must register in advance to receive a canvas or to submit their own artwork.

HOW art[squared] WORKS
1. All artist who wish to participate in art[squared] must register to participate before picking up a canvas and/or submitting an artwork

2. Local adult artists are invited to submit a finished 8"x 8" canvas. (One canvas will be provided FREE to artist upon request, from Preston Arts Center, Artist & Craftsman Supply and LVA). One canvas per artist, due to limited availability.
3. Artists use the complimentary 8" x 8" canvas to create work in the medium of their choice! (Painting is only one option, all mediums are welcome. Artists may affix photos, bas relief, collage, etc. to the provided canvas OR provide their own substrate. as long as it hangs in an 8” x 8” footprint. ) All nontraditional paintings/artwork must be wired to hang.
4. Artists need to fill out the forms provided with the free canvas (or download the form hereif you are providing your own canvas). Please sign the front or back of your canvases!
5. Drop off your completed art contribution at any of the 3 locations listed.

TIMELINE
Starting March 25: Registration opens for participating artists.
March 30: Pick up your blank 8" x 8" canvas from the location you chose in registration.
May 7 : Turn in your completed art to any of the locations listed below.
June 8: art[squared] Auction viewing opens online & in-person at LVA during gallery hours.
June 9: art[squared] Auction / 6:30pm – Bidding is open
June 11: art[squared] Auction Party 6:00 -9:00pm
June 11: art[squared] Auction Bidding Closes at 9:00pm.

Tickets will not be required to participate in the online auction, only the Auction Party. So please share with your friends and spread the word! We will be sending out the auction link once we have received all of the artworks.

Artist’s will receive a complementary ticket to the Auction Party with an addition 50% off one guest ticket.
