Presented by Atlanta Center for Photography

2025 ACP Auction Gala

About This Event

Photography is more than capturing an image — it’s about shifting perspectives, expanding narratives, and seeing the world in new ways. Atlanta Center for Photography champions this vision by advancing lens-based media from the American South, positioning Atlanta at the front of lens-based thought and practice.

This year’s gala, Expanded Aperture, reflects ACP's commitment to broadening artistic horizons. Just as an aperture opens to let in more light, ACP opens new pathways for photographers through artwork commissions, community collaborations, and dynamic programming that transforms how we see and engage with the world.

Join us at the striking Forth Hotel, a space whose very architecture mirrors the theme of expanded vision. The evening will begin with a silent auction and cocktail hour followed by a three-course dinner and presentation honoring this year's event honorees: Corinne Adams, and Mickalene Thomas

After dinner, join us for an After Party hosted by some of Atlanta's most influential artists and tastemakers.

About Michalene Thomas:

Born in Camden, New Jersey, in 1971, Thomas lives and works in New York City. She earned her BFA in painting at Pratt Institute in 2000 and her MFA at the Yale University School of Art in 2002.
