About This Event
Remembering How To See: A Dinner & Critique is an opportunity for artists to gather, share their works, and engage in conversation over a southern-cooked meal. This evening is hosted by ACP Teaching Studio Artist Sierra King.
The Critique
Critique is a learned skill, and learning is best done in community. This space offers a moment for you, as a lens-based artist, to not only speak about your work, but also ground your philosophy of why you make work within the context of the current socio-political climate.
Bring with you 2-3 works for which you would like feedback, compositional recommendations, and/or constructive criticism from the group. The critique will be led by Teaching Studio Artist Sierra King.
The Meal
Local chef DaShawndra Beague of Freshcooked Love will prepare a meal that includes pan-seared chicken breast marinated in a Caribbean-Southern American fusion house marinade. The chicken will be placed on a bed of Garlic-Infused Rice with a vegetable-based gravy. The meal will be served with a vegetable side and choice of a house salad or garlic green beans. For dessert, a small red velvet cheesecake shooter will be served.
