Thursday, March 26, 6:00 PM EST

Friday, March 27, 4:00 PM EST
Peer Review & Critique | $15
Get fresh eyes on your work in a structured, supportive group setting. In this facilitated session, you’ll share your work with a small group of fellow artists, exchange thoughtful feedback, and practice the kind of critical dialogue that sharpens both your eye and your voice. Whether you’re developing a new project or refining an existing body of work, peer critique is one of the most valuable tools in an artist’s practice. Open to artists at any stage.
Friday, March 27, 6:00 PM EST
How to Write a Meaningful Artist’s Statement | $35
Led by Peter M. Krask, writer, photographer, and President of the Board of Directors at Photolucida
Writing an artist statement is often one of the most challenging parts of an artist’s practice. It’s hard to describe your own work, especially when so much of the creative process is driven by intuition.
This workshop simplifies the process by providing a structured framework of questions you can use to craft clear, confident statements for any context—whether for grant applications, exhibition proposals, book projects, or your website. You’ll walk away with practical tools to articulate your work’s intention and concept in your own voice.
Saturday, March 28, 4:00 PM EST
From Work to Position: How Art is Read and How It Circulates | $25
Led by Alfonso Alday Vergara, Co-Founder, Alday Hunken Gallery
This workshop is about institutional literacy, understanding how galleries, institutions, and advisors actually read, evaluate, and advocate for work.
Drawing from curatorial and gallery practice, Alfonso introduces operational tools used to support artists once their work is ready to circulate: advocacy dossiers, editorial narratives, collector relationship stewardship, and considerations around pricing and long-term placement. The goal is to make visible how the professional art world already engages with serious work, so you can navigate it with clarity.
This workshop is intended for artists who are producing serious work and are beginning to navigate the professional layer of the art world.
Want 1:1 feedback from curators, editors, and gallerists?
Our signature portfolio reviews take place Saturday, March 28. Review tickets include the Rahim Fortune keynote, a prep Q&A, and more. Register for Portfolio Reviews HERE.
