About This Event

Join us for an intimate conversation about how supporting Hispanic caregivers impacts our entire Central Texas community. Our speakers will share their first-hand experience in AVANCE to College and discuss goals and outcomes from the program.

About AVANCE to College

Austin Community College and AVANCE-Austin partner together to provide AVANCE to College (A2C), a free nine-month program for Latino caregivers. The A2C program supports expecting mothers, parents, extended family, and foster caregivers in becoming their child's first teachers at home while also introducing them to the possibilities and opportunities for continued education and workforce upskilling. The program combines the expertise of AVANCE’s 50 years of providing wrap-around services to underserved families and ACC’s unique ability to introduce first time and nontraditional students to secondary education.
