Announcing that the museum's annual fall fundraising Gala will feature special guest Dick VanGrunsven. founder of Van's Aircraft and designer of the RV-12iS, the aircraft used in our high school student plane-building program.
Dick, 85, is literally the "RV" in the RV-12iS—and the closest we'll ever get to our students meeting Wilbur and Orville Wright. He'll be visiting us from Oregon with his wife Diane.
The Gala will take place on Friday, Oct. 10 from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Armory Ballroom at the Doubletree by Hilton, 700 Elm St., downtown Manchester.
In addition to the special appearance by Mr. VanGrunsven, the Gala will feature a gourmet dinner, live music, a silent and live auction and other fun activities, all designed to raise funds needed to maintain our network of three student plane-building programs. See you there!
