Meet GRIN’s Three-Ring Circus
This year’s circus theme was inspired by three young golden retrievers, all just 10 months old, who recently arrived in GRIN’s care after spending much of their early lives living outdoors with very little training or enrichment. Despite their difficult start, their gentle personalities and desire for love were immediately clear.
Shortly after entering rescue, two of the boys required surgery after swallowing rocks they likely dug up while trying to entertain themselves. Thanks to GRIN’s veterinary partners and dedicated foster families, all three are now safe and beginning their journey toward the loving homes they deserve.
Their medical care so far totals $7,297, and your support helps make their second chance possible.
Ring One: Argos
Argos is the largest of the trio and a handsome golden with a distinctive white patch on his chest. Shortly after arriving in GRIN’s care, he needed surgery to remove rocks from his stomach. Now recovering in foster care, Argos is discovering the joys of treats, affection, and learning how wonderful life inside a loving home can be.
Ring Two: Bravo
Bravo may be the biggest goofball of the group. This lovable boy also required emergency surgery after swallowing rocks before entering rescue. Despite everything he has been through, Bravo’s sweet personality is shining through as he recovers and begins learning the comforts of indoor life.
Ring Three: Desmond
Desmond is the smallest and most sensitive of the trio. While he did not require surgery, he did need an exam and x-ray after grabbing a rock to make sure he had not swallowed any. Thankfully everything looked clear. Desmond is a gentle soul who is slowly gaining confidence and learning that people can be trusted.
These three boys represent exactly why GRIN exists. To give golden retrievers who did not get the best start in life a second chance at the loving homes they deserve. By supporting Bark in the Park, you can help them on their journey. Because sometimes the greatest show on earth is rescue.
