Right now, Texas Humane Heroes staff and volunteers are bottle-feeding newborn kittens around the clock—because without that care, they wouldn’t survive.

And the need is growing.

In an upcoming transport, we’re preparing to take in 30 newborn animals with their mothers, while also coordinating the intake of 8 bottle babies who will need round-the-clock feeding to survive.

At the same time, moms like Dolly Parton are recovering after giving everything they had to their puppies. Today, she’s safe and now ready for adoption. Her puppies will be ready for homes soon.

This is what your support makes possible.

So far this year, we’ve cared for:

  • 18 nursing cat moms
  • 9 nursing dog moms
  • 90 kittens and 44 puppies with their mothers
  • Over 20 orphaned kittens and over 100 orphaned puppies
  • 17 bottle-fed kittens—and now, our first bottle-fed puppy

And it’s just the start of the season.

What’s arrived today

In the coming days, we’re preparing to welcome even more families in need:

  • A calico mom cat and her five kittens, just weeks old
  • A polydactyl mom cat with five young kittens
  • A mom already caring for six kittens, including orphans
  • A tuxedo mom caring for nine kittens, including additional babies she’s taken in
  • Another mom cat and her five kittens

What’s arriviving tomorrow

In the coming days, we’re preparing to welcome even more families in need:

  • A momma dog and her seven 2-week old puppies
  • 8 newborn bottle babies who will need round-the-clock feeding to survive

Some of these kittens are only days or weeks old. Others are already relying on their mothers—and our team—to survive.

Every one of them will need care the moment they arrive.
