Assistance Through the Federal Benefits Pause

Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, both the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) are experiencing delays or stops in benefit distribution. These programs are vital lifelines for low-income mothers, infants, children, and families. This uncertainty is expected to significantly impact many of the patients and communities we serve.

At Cone Health, we are committed to supporting our patients during this challenging time.

Please share this information with patients and community memebers who may be affected. Your compassion and awareness can make a meaningful difference during this time of uncertainty.

  • A comprehensive list of several resources is available through our FindHelp page. This online resource shows the food support services currently available across our system and in the community.

  • Community members can also access information about resources in their area by calling 2-1-1. NC 211 is a free and confidential information and referral service provided by United Way of North Carolina and powered by local United Ways of North Carolina.
