Make Your Mark on the Park: 100 Wishes for 100 Years of Barnsdall

For nearly a century, Barnsdall Art Park has brought our community together through art, culture, and nature.

If Barnsdall’s last hundred years have meant something to you, show your support by sharing your wish for the next hundred.

A large-scale public mosaic mural created by students at Barnsdall Arts Center and led by Teaching Artist Hannah Maximova will be installed at the Arts Centers of Barnsdall in 2027, to be visible from across the Pine Grove. This glittering mural, depicting an abstracted view of the Hollywood Hills to Barnsdall Art Park, will become a park and neighborhood landmark; a meeting place for generations to come.

A limited number of mosaic tiles will be reserved to incorporate the voices of our community into the mural. Your contribution secures a tile for you to inscribe your own wish for the park, along with your initials.

Barnsdall Art Park Foundation has helped support and sustain the park for over 23 years by investing in programming, landscaping, and equipment. Your support today upholds the park tomorrow, and into its next century.

Details + Instructions

We have 2 contribution levels available: $250 and $500, for 2 sizes of tiles totalling 100 wishes.
The sponsored tiles will frame the mural’s central image.
On each of these sizes, donors will be able to write their wish for the future of Barnsdall Art Park.
We invite donors to include their first names or initials on their tiles.
Donors will be informed of the location of their tile following installation.
Tiles will feature handwritten notes or drawing in black sharpie on a provided template outlining the measurements of the tile.
Once donation is received, a form will be distributed to the donor to fill out and submit.
Payment may be made via the BAPF website and completed tile templates can be scanned and emailed to Joanna@Barnsdall.org. Donations being made via check and hardcopy template may be dropped off at the main office of Barnsdall Arts Center within the park, or mailed to Barnsdall Art Park Foundation, PO Box 291833, Los Angeles, CA 90027.
All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Barnsdall Art Park Foundation reserves the right to refuse installation of any language or imagery that is deemed inappropriate.
This mosaic mural is not permanent, but is planned to be installed in the park indefinitely.
