Plane Fun Day - Sightseeing Flights 2024

Take a sightseeing flight on a private airplane and have an experience to remember! 

Every dollar of your purchase supports LifeLine Pilots’ mission of coordinating free air transportation for passengers with medical and humanitarian needs far from home. 

Don't delay! We have a limited number of flights, and they will sell quickly. 

All flights will...

• depart from Mt. Hawley Airport, 1320 W Bird Blvd, Peoria, IL,

• be approximately 30 minutes in length,

• take place in a small, 4-6 seat airplane with a qualified pilot,

• follow a set flight path, and

• have a pre-flight safety briefing.

All participants must arrive 15 minutes before departure for a safety briefing and sign the liability waiver.
 

Please review the following limitations and details before booking:

Age & Size Limitations

Minimums:

• 6-years-old and older with a parent/guardian

• 13-years-old and older without a parent/guardian

• 40 pounds

• Able to sit upright with a standard lap seatbelt (car seats & booster seats cannot be accommodated)

Maximums:

• 250 pounds per individual

• 450-850 pounds per flight (if your group is greater than the weight allowed for the aircraft, LifeLine Pilots reserves the right to split your group)

Other Limitations:

• Passengers must be able to step up into the airplane

• Passengers must provide accurate weight when registering 

What to expect when you arrive:

• Check-in and sign the liability waiver.

• Safety briefing prior to your flight.

• Receive updated flight time. Rest assured, we will work hard to keep our schedule. Your flight time may be delayed depending on airport traffic. This is an active airport and while we will work hard to keep our schedule, other airplanes arriving and departing may delay flights.

What to expect on your flight:

• While in flight, your pilot will have a set flight route.

• Your sightseeing flight is entirely donated by the volunteer pilot flying your flight! This means that 100% of your purchase goes directly towards the LifeLine Pilots mission to coordinate free air transportation, through volunteer pilots, for passengers with medical or humanitarian needs far from home. 

Late Policy

 If you or your party arrive late, it is highly likely that your flight will be canceled. We will attempt to reschedule at the end of the event (after 3:00 PM).

Note: Late is defined as arriving …

• within the 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure, or

• after the scheduled departure.

A refund will not be given if you arrive late.

No Show Policy

No refunds will be given for anyone failing to show up for their scheduled flight.

Cancellation Policy

• LifeLine Pilots reserves the right to cancel Plane Fun Day and all sightseeing flights due to weather, at its discretion.

• Refunds will be issued to the payment method used to purchase sightseeing flights.

Transference Policy

All flights are transferable but not refundable, provided...

• all stated limitations are adhered to, and

• LifeLine Pilots is notified at 800-822-7972 of any changes no later than October 2, 2024.

Note: Changes in the total weight of your group may impact your flight.
