Presented by Southeast Ohio Classical Academy

2026 SOCA Annual Gala

Registration ends Thursday, 03/12/2026 11:59pm EST

About This Event

SOCA is Southeast Ohio's first tuition-free classical academy. SOCA's Classical program utilizes proven teaching techniques to instill knowledge and cultivate moral and civic virtue from the Hillsdale K-12 American Classical curriculum.

SOCA welcomed Kindergarten through 6th grade students in the '24-'25 school year, added 7th grade this year, and will expand by adding one grade level every year until it serves K-12 students. SOCA's first graduating class will be the class of 2031.

SOCA is an Ohio Community School, a publicly-funded, non-profit institution. Students do not pay tuition to receive this exceptional education. However, because Community Schools are funded on a smaller percentage of tax dollars than a traditional public school, fundraising is an essential part of the school's ability to fulfill its mission: now and in the future. The 2026 Annual Gala will be raising funds that will be used to expand our available classroom space so more children have the opportunity to attend SOCA.

Event Details:

  • Formal attire is requested.
  • Dinner will be provided.
  • There will be a silent auction that includes School Uniform gift certificates, a quilt handmade by SOCA students and staff, and gift certificates from local businesses. There will be a brief live auction at the event.
  • Lodging - The Lodge at Hocking College has rooms blocked for this event. Mention the event name when booking ($65/night).
