About This Event

Stirring Solidarity into Action

Thursday, November 13, 2025

6:00-8:30 pm

In the ongoing journey toward justice and peace, we gather with a promise—a promise rooted in both universal human values and the enduring Christian tradition.

From a secular perspective, a promise is a commitment to one another: a bond of trust and hope that guides communities toward a better future. It is our pledge to uphold the dignity and potential of every person, especially the vulnerable and the voiceless, by supporting a pathway to empowerment.

In the Christian tradition, a promise carries an even deeper resonance. It echoes the faithful assurance of God’s love and the call to mirror that faithfulness through acts of compassion, forgiveness, and solidarity. As Pope Francis taught, just peace requires recognizing the dignity of the other, and true transformation demands our promise to walk in hope with those most in need.

Education is at the core of this promise. By forming minds and hearts, education enables us to fulfill our promise—secular and spiritual alike—to advance justice, foster peace, and empower new generations.
