About This Event
Homeschool Day at BPRC – September 24, 09:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Get ready to explore the tiny world of mini beasts! In this homeschool session, students will discover the fascinating lives of insects and other small creatures. Through hands-on activities, close-up observations, and interactive learning, participants will learn about insect anatomy, life cycles, habitats, and the important roles these creatures play in our ecosystem.
Children will have the opportunity to observe real specimens, participate in themed crafts or experiments, and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world right beneath their feet. This program is designed to be both educational and fun, encouraging curiosity and scientific thinking in young learners. Ideal for elementary-aged homeschool students.
In partnership with Sensory Days Dallas, a Quiet Area with sensory-friendly activities will be available at all family events.
All ticket sales directly support the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center. As a small, self-sustaining nonprofit, events like this - and the generosity of friends like you - help us care for our raptors, protect the Blackland Prairie, and offer educational programs for families. If you’d like to support our work even further, we’d be truly grateful for any donation at bpraptorcenter.org/donate.
A Note About Weather:
Because this is an outdoor experience, the event may be postponed if we’re experiencing heavy rain or lightning at the scheduled time. If that happens, you’ll be able to join us on the new date or use your ticket for a future Homeschool Day. If neither option works, please consider your ticket a donation to BPRC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (Federal Tax ID: 20-1305421). Your support means so much.
When placing your order, please be sure to use a valid email address - we’ll send any updates or changes straight to your inbox.
