About This Event
🎃🦉 Owl-O-Ween is back! And it’s shaping up to be one of our most fun nights of the year! 🦉🎃
Join us on the prairie for a Halloween celebration that blends just the right amount of spooky with a whole lot of fun. As the sun begins to set, the trails come alive with costumes, laughter, and little surprises around every corner. It’s the kind of evening where you can wander, explore, and stumble into something new at every turn.
Kids can trick-or-treat their way through the property, stop for games, and get their faces painted before heading off to the next adventure. Along the way, you might catch a magician mid-performance, dance through a swirl of bubbles, or come face-to-face with a 6-foot dinosaur. Add in music, fall weather, and time outdoors, and it’s a night that feels just a little bit magical.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Owl-O-Ween without our raptors. Get up close with our incredible birds of prey and discover why owls are often called the “ghosts of the prairie.” You can also enjoy a peaceful nature walk, meet some very special animal guests, and take your time soaking in everything the evening has to offer.
You’ll find something around every corner, including:
🍬 Trick-or-treating
🎯 Halloween games
🦅 Live birds of prey up close
🚒 Fire trucks to explore
🎩 A magician
🔵 Bubble dancing (yes, it’s as fun as it sounds)
🦖 A 6ft dinosaur appearance
🐾 A Story Paws therapy dog
🎨 Face painting
🌾 Nature walks
🎶 Music and good vibes
🍔 A food truck for when you need a snack break
And much, much more! Including a chance to win a private behind the scenes tour of Blackland Prairie Raptor Center (free entry with every ticket)! 🎉
Come ready for a little bit of spooky, a lot of fun, and a night your family will be talking about long after it’s over 👻🦉✨
A little about Story Paws: Story Paws partners with local organizations to provide therapy dog services to our clients at no cost. We are a veteran-owned, Texas nonprofit that brings the healing power of therapy dogs to niche markets, and small, often marginalized communities.
📸 Photography is welcome — capture your magical moments with our raptors!
In partnership with Sensory Days Dallas, a Quiet Area with sensory-friendly activities will be available at all family events.
All ticket sales directly support the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center. As a small, self-sustaining nonprofit, events like this - and the generosity of friends like you - help us care for our raptors, protect the Blackland Prairie, and offer educational programs for families. If you’d like to support our work even further, we’d be truly grateful for any donation at bpraptorcenter.org/donate.
A Note About Weather:
Because this is an outdoor experience, the event may be postponed if we’re experiencing heavy rain or lightning at the scheduled time. If that happens, you’ll be able to join us on the new date or use your ticket for a future First Saturday event. If neither option works, please consider your ticket a donation to BPRC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (Federal Tax ID: 20-1305421). Your support means so much.
When placing your order, please be sure to use a valid email address - we’ll send any updates or changes straight to your inbox.
