Join us in celebrating the 10th annual Juneteenth at Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park with a serene birdwatching experience hosted by Hilton Head Audubon. This enriching event, titled "Naycha and B'uhds," invites both novice and experienced birdwatchers to explore Hilton Head Island's natural beauty and diverse avian populations.

Experience the joys of birdwatching as you learn about local and migratory bird species with the expert guidance of naturalists from the Hilton Head Audubon and The Outside Foundation. Discover the significant role that birds play in our ecosystem and how to spot and identify them in their natural habitat. 

This event promises a unique blend of education and relaxation in the lush surroundings of Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park. Whether you're a seasoned birder or new to the hobby, you'll find joy in the peaceful observation and the thrill of identifying different species. We will have food trucks and live entertainment by Nicklas Bearden and Calibogue Sound. 


Instructions: Bring your binoculars, wear comfortable footwear, a chair, and water.  Prepare for a memorable day connecting with nature and history at this special Juneteenth celebration. This event is free, but please register for a 30-minute arrival time slot. Please park at Cherry Hill School at the corner of Dillion and Beach City Road HHI, SC.
